That Oooops Moment

Has anyone ever had that dumba$$ moment when your either working or just toying around on your car? Well I have and i'll start. I was washing my car and had forgotten that I had left my windshield wipers up and I opened my hood to wipe down the engine. Needless to say I have got 2 nice and pretty long scratches and they are all the way to the metal:/ Who else wants to chime in?

Was buffing the top of the roof towards the front and the vibration knumbed my hand causing me to drop it . Worst thing I ever did ...not only did it hit the windshield but shattered it while it vibrated to the bottom. My heart sank..luckily I was able to replace it for free thru my car insurance.Never again...

I have done the open the hood with the wipers up thing as well. I got a lucky and heard it as it started to scratch. So my damage wasn't very big. Now I always make sure to clean the front windshield and wipers and lower them back down first.

Every one and every car ends up with an ooops moment sooner or later.

Mine was running over a skunk carcass thinking it was something else.

Took 3 washes to get rid of the stink underneath.

I pulled into the garage to fast and I panic and put it into reverse and let out the clutch, the hot tires grabbed the racedeck and launched it forward and nicking the bottom of the door. had like 100 miles on the car. The racedeck is amazing, it all just snapped back together with no broken parts

While trying to install my VTC I forgot about a knife in my pocket and left a smell little scratch on the underside of my driver's door. Luckily you have to basically lay down and look for it to find it but it still made me sick.

Sent from my campfire using smoke signals
