A 1LE Z28 ZL1....Is there such a thing?

I saw a post on eBay for a 1LE Z28 ZL1 in Alberta. Have I missed something or did someone go badge crazy? Having one of these in Alberta made me suspect.

I think Johnny Cash did a song about one of those one time... no wait, that was a Cadillac. Never mind...

Looks like he threw some Z/28 parts (Splitter, Flow Tie, Rocker, Cosmetics) on a 1LE and added a supercharger. It's not an LS7 or Mag-ride ZL1... Not in any way legit to claim Z/28 or ZL1 status.

There is a dealer on ebay selling camaro's as 1LE's, but are normal camaro's with just 1LE suspension added on.

GM should get on that. That really takes away value from the brand and is a bad deal for customers.

He put those extra acronyms in there so people searching for a particular model would find his car. Some guys go into eBay and just type in "Z28", other will type in "1LE" in the search field. His car would pop up on both searches. People do this all the time on eBay. Has nothing to do with the car actually having those parts on it or not.

The ad says 1 of 1 and lists the mods. It's probably some guy who built it and is trying to sell it.

Mostly agreed, but I think it has something to do with the fact that he does have supercharger and some Z28 parts, so he's trying to get people that are otherwise searching for those cars to view his listing as well.

I also think the guy is a member of this forum - I remember seeing his car posted here somewhere

If I remember correctly the badge actually says Z/SS, not Z/28

The VIN is a 2014 SS.

Perhaps it was a 1LE and then he did a modded engine and tossed some Z/28 body work at it? It's just a car that some dude built up for himself.....I guess.
