I haven't seen any Grand Sports that cheap unless they had a ton of miles. Prices here start around $33k-$34k for a somewhat low mileage GS. Most are $36k-$37k.

Just paid about $40k everything included for my 1LE this past Thursday.

I see you have a 1ss...if I got another Camaro which I don't think I will be..nothing against it just would want something different, I would get 2ss as I love heads up display and leather

If you can live w/ the lowered practicality, I'd do it.

I have the heads up display. Also the 1SS and 2SS in the 1LE both get Recaro leather with suede inserts.

The only things I noticed different in the 2SS 1LE from the 1SS is the 2SS comes with the Bose premium sound, accent lighting and a few extra leather bits on the door panels.

For me those few things just isn't worth an extra $3k-$4k. Especially since the audio system in the 1SS sounds better than my 5th gen 2SS did with the Boston setup. It's plenty good enough for me.

What happened to the auto-dimming mirrors, outside heated mirrors, steering wheel radio/phone controls, 4-pack gauges, sub-woofer, heated steering wheel, backup camera? Isn't the back seat upgraded to leather?

You say your friend's car was awesome to drive (I'm sure it was).

So was that "awesome", awesome enough to get past worrying about other peoples' opinions about whether it will age gracefully? Keep in mind that "looks really dated" would be their opinion, and that you're under no obligation to share it. Know yourself here.

I do have the steering wheel controls and the backup camera.

Not sure what you mean by the 4pack gauges, thought that was only on the 5th gens?

The back seat is all leather on mine.

Not sure if my car has the subwoofer or not but if it doesn't then it don't need one imo. It kicks some pretty solid bass especially for the standard audio system. It definitely has more bass than my old Boston setup in my 2010.

As for the heated and auto-dimming mirrors and heated steering wheel I'm really not sure. I definitely have no need for those here in FL anyway but I can try to look into it if you want.

The C6 GS is a beautiful and capable car. I was looking at one but got my SS instead. I already have a Vette and just could’nt bring myself to be selfish enough to get another two seater as I have a family. You dont have the family thing and you’ve got the winter beater so what are you waiting for! If you don’t like it they are still doing well with resale value. One thing to check on the C6’s is the headlights. They are colored inside to match the body and are very expensive to replace. They tend to yellow. Good luck whatever you decide!
