DSX Tuning Low Side Fuel Pump System

This low side system is very similar to my systems on other applications, and finally it is available for the sixth gen Camaro. The installation is 100% maintained underneath the vehicle, and there is no need to run anything up to the engine bay except for the pump control harness. Installation is budgeted at two hours, but one shop actually completed one in just 35 minutes!

The pump system is built around a Walbro GSL392 that is mounted to the frame using a laser cut bracket. The pump ties into the factory fuel system using -6 PTFE lines that are factory crimped for leak free and worry free operation (not to mention PTFE is the only hose that is 100% corrosion resistant against ethanol). A very specific adapter piece that features true push connect attachment allows for ease of tying into the stock fuel feed line. The pump is fed with another PTFE line that goes to a fitting you install in the rear of the gas tank (drilling and tapping the tank).

The pump is controlled with a special DSX Tuning made controller that uses the MAP sensor signal to determine when to activate the pump. It typically turns on around 9 psi, but there is an option for a lower turn-on point (and options for which MAP sensor you're using). There is a special controller that uses CAN data for pump activation though!

Right now, as an introductory offer, ALL systems are shipping with the DSX CAN controller! This controller is unique in that it uses data from the vehicle's CAN bus to determine when the activate the pump. The other awesome feature is that the pump has PWM capability with this controller, so when it is commanded to turn on, it comes on soft at 50% duty cycle and ramps to full over the course of a tenth of a second. As an added bonus... when you turn the key on, but don't start the engine, you can run the pump by pushing the gas pedal! This is great if you want to purge the line after you just switched from gasoline to ethanol, or if you need to drain the tank.

The system retails at $1000 with an optional $40 drill and tap kit if you want the right pieces for that step of the install.
