My Camaro Six Forced My New Smart Phone Purchase (Wireless Charging)

I wasn't going to get the Galaxy Note 5, but the My Note 3 just shattered and I realized I can't live without a big screen and the wireless charging is going to be amazing.

What phone is everyone else using and is wireless charging something you're excited about?

I have a Galaxy S6, got it back in April and have been using wireless charging since. It is very nice and easy to use, just a pain sometimes when it just stops charging, especially if the phone vibrates and it moves a little. I am excited to have it built into my Camaro! Note 5, nice phone BTW. I looked at the S6 Edge +, but a little too big for me, love my S6.

When I drive, I am in my car for 2-3 hours. So having a full charged phone after I arrive to my office is always a good thing. But I am sure most people are not crazy like me and do not have nearly the drive I take on.

The phone needs to support it.

Many of the phones on this list need special backplates in order to get wireless charging, but these are the phones that officially have wireless charging supported, as opposed to phones that can only achieve wireless charging through bulky cases that replace the battery or plug into the micro-USB port.

Android:

HTC Droid DNA
HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE
HTC Droid Incredible 2
HTC Rezound
LG G3
LG G3 Prime
LG G3 Cat 6
LG G4
LG Optimus G Pro 2
LG Optimus G Pro
LG Spectrum
LG Optimus
LG Lucid 2
Google Nexus 4
Google Nexus 5
Google Nexus 6
Motorola Droid Maxx
Motorola Ultra M
Motorola Droid Bionic
Motorola Droid Turbo
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
Samsung Galaxy S3
Samsung Galaxy S4
Samsung Galaxy S5
Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
Samsung Galaxy S6 active
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Z3v
YotaPhone 2

Apple:

I think most iPhones can buy a case that will allow their phone to be wireless charged. But Apple has not built it into their phones.

I live in a semi. I just meant that I'm ok with a wire charger haha and don't think it's a necessity to have a built in wireless charger, it's nice that they thought about it though

After seeing where the wireless charging pad is going to be located, I would have rather had cup holders in its place.

Galaxy S5..I love the design of the new note and s6 plus but no battery accessibility and no expandable storage is a deal breaker for me. I'm glad the S5 is on the list!

Note 3. I already have wireless charging after adding a Qi receiver to it. Interested to see how good the one in the 6th gen works.

You would need the wireless charging back cover for the S5 first

Or just a Qi receiver. They will fit under the existing cover with a slight bluge. Usually not enough to prevent a case from fitting.
