When will bead locks rims be needed?

I am in the market for a drag pack and was wondering if I should buy bead lock or not. I am currently at 890whp and will be aiming more than 1,000whp close to next summer with a stall converter. Not trying to go from rims to rims. I also want to run 555R2 for daily driving.

I would (and did personally) just go with the beadlocks. I know some guys have been able to use a permatex high tack silicone of some kind to prevent the tire from slipping on the wheel with success, but if you just do the beadlocks you nip the problem in the bud. There’s at lot to worry about at 1K WHP and you don’t want that to add to the list.

That is what I was thinking. They do look cooler, but I would hate to go through the hassle of selling a set of rims to get another one in less than a year.
