Travis, I don’t have any issue with you occupying the #1 and #2 slot. It does not affect me one way or another. I will re-add your time to the board. This is supposed to be fun and informative. Not worth all this hassle.

For the other 3 or 4 I deleted, they can reach out to me via PM and I’ll re-add. I don’t have a change log. I’ll get to this tomorrow some time. Apologies for any issues I have caused.

We will leave the list as-is.

I'll throw in my 2 cents. I think letting people put in an unlimited amount of entries is pointless. No one wants to see someone's name up there 10 times for the same car on the same track.

I think if your car is not mostly stock your time should be deleted, just kidding.

It probably makes sense to limit it to 1 time per type of tire. I don't see the issue with having 2 times up there if 1 is on slicks the other is on regular tires that seems like pretty good information. The problem comes in when people mod 1 thing and post a new time. Maybe limit entries to 2 per driver per track config.

It's going to get convoluted regardless. I'd also argue that a tire can and often does make more difference than ZL1 vs ZL1 1LE or SS vs SS 1LE. Most modifications people list make very little, if any, lap time difference. Tires are a huge factor though. There's a lot of value in seeing differences in lap time per tire with all things equal due to classing differences at times events. Or, perhaps someone might just want to see the best lap time achieved on a particular tire at a given track.

I don't know. Lots to consider. I'm thinking there is value in keeping multiple times when the tires are different if the list is to serve as a point of reference. If it's just for bragging rights, then maybe a 1 entry per person per track makes sense. Just my 2 cents.

I now actually own a 23 ZL1 1LE and I have an 23 SS 1LE on the way. I'll be starting to track these other cars soon. I suppose we'll see what works out going forward.
All times have been updated. Travis your times have been re-added to PittRace. I'm looking forward to seeing what the 2023 cars bring.

This may be one of the best "jump" shots from Grattan I have seen yet. Well done! I need to get back out there.

Hi, it is the same but officially Pocono Raceway calls it N/S Option 2.

Thanks a lot for keeping these times, I really appreciate it!

simply...if someone makes an improvement with their exact car on the same tires at the same track (& configuration), the fastest time should remain and the slower time/entry should be deleted. This is just my opinion as all of the data will be fresh and the best for observation & analysis.

While we are making suggestions, it would be beneficial for the post template to add the ambient temperature, time of day, and cloudy vs. clear skies (since that affects track temperature) to help give a better idea of how optimal the track conditions were. Humidity and/or DA might be useful too but idk if anyone normally bothers to look at those. Track conditions can currently be estimated based on reviewing the video for any clouds and the sun position plus looking up historical weather for the date.

For example, at MSR Houston going clockwise, the fastest lap I could manage on the same set of tires with the same car setup on an 85°F sunny afternoon was about 3% slower than my overall personal best that I set about 3 months earlier on a sunny morning around 9am when the ambient temperature was about 50°F. A little over a month before that PB, my previous PB was just 0.003% slower. It was set near sunset when the track temperature was cooling off even though the ambient temperature was a bit warmer at 61°F.

Basically it is not a fair to directly compare a lap time set in the middle of a hot sunny summer day to one set on a cool day especially if track temperature was also lower due to clouds or time of day (early or late) because the available grip and horsepower are lower on the hot sunny day.
