Shifting when stopping. The engine will choke.

Hi, I have a Camaro 2018 SS with automatic transmission. Yesterday on the way out of service, it happened four times, twice today.

For example, when I stop at a traffic light, the engine chokes. It has the same symptoms as if I hadn't pressed the clutch on the manual gearbox. I did a test today when it happened to me. I gave manual shifting, shifted the 4th gear and stopped at the traffic light without downshifting. Normally, the car should self-shift, but that didn't happen. I almost stood but the third gear was still on the deck. The engine began to choke. (No Engine check light, onstar also make remote diagnostic and no problem)

Do you know what it could be? It is necessary to add that just yesterday I was in an oil change service. Within the services they performed the diagnosis of the car and download firmware for chevrolet inspection.

OK new finding. When I start the car and insert a D gear, scratching starts to sound from below. It is like brushing a sheet of metal (Sound like: "č-č-č-č-č-č-č-č" ). But the sound will disappear as soon as I shift N, or I will move faster than 5kmh.

When the car goes slower (under 5kmh), the sound is faster and louder.

The car is in service and looks like it needs a new gearbox.

Very sorry to hear about your woes... will the dealer do this job under warranty for you? The silver lining is you get a new A8, new torque converter and hopefully the new 2019 fluid.

According to the latest information, they scanned the entire gearbox and sent it to Chevrolet. Unfortunately, Chevrolet has not yet responded. It's been over 14 days.

Does anyone know how it is with new gearboxes? Did they fix these problems?
