I have the exact same setup on my 18’ SS 1LE. I’ve been running it for about 2 weeks now and I love it. I was originally considering putting the NPP mufflers back on before installing the headers but now I’m glad it didn’t! Have you dyno’d the car since the install?

MBRP :
Stock NPP: The MBRP is louder by a factor of 2, but you can't tell from the videos.

Yea for sure you weren't leaving much on the table. It should still be plenty loud with the factory muffler when you get on it.

I currently have MBRP and love the sound paired with my Whipple SC. I have 2" ARH headers with 3" catback on the way. I was already planning to go back to the stock NPP. After seeing this I am for sure. I may try a Stainless Works NPP or Borla NPP later if I don't like the sound of the exhaust setup with the Stock NPP. I just know I'm gonna have to have NPP with the headers, 103mm TB, CAI, and Whipple. Moving lots of air!

Experiment Terminated
So this little escapade has taught me a couple of things. #1- I am getting older. Driving a car that is loud enough to wake the dead is no longer my cup of tea-if it ever was.#2-The stock muffler is pretty good. 5 HP and 5 ft-lbs. of torque is nice, but not at the expense of my neighbor's good will and the unwanted attention of the local five-oh. Here is the graph in SAE:

STD
The stock muffler is now securely back on the Camaro and it sounds tame in comparison to the way it sounded when I woke up this morning. Just for sh!ts and giggles, here are the STD numbers:

Car looks really healthy man, should be a blast. Glad to hear you got the sound where it had to be. Can't wait to try the same when my warranty is up, except non npp muffler.

Those are awesome dyno numbers! Mine made 438hp and 452tq with ARH, Rotofab and a tune. I’m hoping to get close to those numbers with full bolt ons...fingers crossed.

lol why are people always shocked on how loud a car is when you remove all cats? Get some Kooks green cats or high flow cats, the stock suit case is just ugly looking.
