Yes, I can see the excitement wearing off for the original owners. The z28 is new to me so I’m at a high level of interest. In the last few years I’ve owned a Boss Laguna Seca, Porsche Boxster spyder and now this , the Z. The car is great! Plus it’s fun to read all of those old posts and everyone is so knowledgeable about the car, so when a question arises many good answers are given.

GM screwed the pooch by simultaneously releasing the Z06 with the Z/28,for 10k more most people opted for the vette, and these tanked. There was a lot of buzz early, the buzz got killed as they sat in dealerships for an eternity. I am convinced these are going to awake from their obscurity, too special of a car not to be "discovered". They are arguably one of, if not the most significant, risky, performance cars GM ever signed off on. Still the highest line built MSRP camaro ever built, that might not change anytime soon. JMHO.

There is nothing else to talk about. Old car, even older engine. I loved mine, put 36k miles on it. But it’s on to the next one.

I've had my Z since new in late 2014, I really enjoy this forum ! It's a good feeling if your a car guy to know that of the millions of people and cars out there, I'm one of 1800 that have a very special car. CC rotors, Pirelli tires and the NA 427 powerplant.
This forum is the platform that keeps us together. For the most part, everybody on here is very passionate about the Z. No plans to sell this track monster ! |

Some people fail to understand the interest for classic cars and how their owners will keep them for many years. The Z/28 will be the classic car of the future. I don't need a forum with a bunch of "chatter" to keep my interest. Driving and owning the car of my dreams more than keeps my enthusiasm alive.

Sure it has slowed down here but that don't mean that I don't look every day to check to see what pops up here, just like seeing what people are doing with our special cars. It is a rather small group compared to a lot of others.
Yes a lot have moved on to the latest and greatest (people do it all the time) And to me the limited amount of ZL1-1LEs has always been a thought in my mind BUT not to replace my Z/28.....I just don't see that any time soon for me |
