Performance
Is there a difference in performance between 1-3/4 and 1-7/8 headers?

Yes. Go for 1 7/8" minimum.

2" is more for FI engines. If you are NA, stay with 1 7/8".

It's a minimal difference. But if you are that vested in performance and getting every ounce of performance from your $ then the 1 7/8", or better yet, the 2" are the way to go.
If I had gone with 1 3/4" headers I likely would always be thinking 'Man, I wish I had gone bigger' - Kind of how I am with my cam. Dammit.

Let me rephrase the question Which 2”headers will fit without having to put a “Dimple” on it? Maybe it’s because I’m almost 60, just can’t see spending that much money on headers and then having to hit them with a hammer to make them fit. I have a 12 2SS with auto?

Not sure it would make a difference, if you can get a good deal on either one go for it.
