Plus if your strapped for cash, buy reader at HF, open package carefully, scan car and hopefully fix the problem, repackage and return for refund.

Oh and 35 degrees is bone chilling cold for me.

Most (if not all) codes are still stored in memory. At least the code readers that I've used can still retrieve them (until the battery is disconnected).

Recently we had a very cold spell here in coastal NC that my 2014 would not start by remote. What's up? Went out and tried the key and she turned very slow but no go! Original battery. Put a new battery in and all is back to normal.

I’m thinking that may be my problem too. It’s 30 degrees here in the Houston area this morning and my car started right up with the remote starter. So I’m thinking that it’s the battery. Thanks for all the helpful information
