Brake wear indicator

I have a 13 SS with a 103,000 miles on it. Just today, driving it to work in traffic it started making noise. It only makes the noise moving slow in traffic when you have to keep your foot on the brake. How do you look at the wear indicator to know if your pads need to be replaced? I bought the car a year ago with 96,000 miles on it. The maintenance report show that the rotors were turned. I don't know whether or not to just replace the pads or get new rotors or both? Any advice would be appreciated. I've looked at Brembo's website and can't see anything that helps.

I just replaced the pads and rotors. There's a metal tab attached to the pad (located on the bottom of the pads I believe) that will make contact with the rotor when the pads wear to a certain depth. You'll start to see scrap marks on the rotor at the point of contact.
