Ditto Lee. Beautiful car in a beautiful place. I bet the weather is awesome there this time of year too.

Sorry about your moose encounter. Hopefully your truck will be back on the road soon.

Finally had some time to go through and detail the car sunday, still haven't had time to lay down some wax in forever though. Have been debating looking at trading the Z in towards a new 2SS 1LE, but just an impulsive thought.

Out of curiosity what is your reasoning?

ehhh... I dunno. Z is overkill for my 30mph average speed in all this dumbass traffic. Brand new off the floor with a warranty wouldn't be bad. Different experience. But it'd be my 3rd 6th gen and not sure if I care to do the same thing a 3rd time. We'll see.

Find some better roads, don't frustrate yourself on I-40 or 75.

Oh HELL no I don't touch the highway lol. I try and stick to the side/back roads and it's all cottontops, landscapers, dump trucks and handicap placards. With all the blind hills and corners, passing is sketchy most of the time. Every so often I can blast by someone but usually it's an extra 10 min of me screaming "ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME!?!!" while someone cruises 5-10 under the speed limit lol.

The wife was in a horrific car wreck in her teens (wasn't supposed to have use of her arms but fully recovered), so she's got anxiety and freaks out if I push the car, even mildly. So if she's in it, it's relatively reserved cruising.

I should just buy a Honda and take the equity and go drink on a beach and bitch about my life to some poor local that just wants to strangle me and steal my wallet.

Ahh, I totally feel that. Add to it the typical 2" shoulder with zero median, and you have a continuously exciting experience Kidding aside, the part I actually like about it is that you can't let up for a second, there is hardly any room for error, which makes for a more intense experience. My other debbie downer moments are when the radar detector keeps going off because of omnipresent state police on certain days...

You know what, let's get together and you can bitch without the strangulation and wallet swishing part

So different and much more scary in the pass seat, isn't it?

Removed the mufflers since they were not a good combo with turbos for pleasant exhaust sounds. Downpipes FTW.

Finally got my seat covers from Kustom Interiors. They slip over the existing cloth seats and are made of leatherette/artificial leather. Much thicker than I expected and are very plush. Saturday is install day

My wife is the same way, and I did buy her a Honda last fall to distract her. Keep the Camaro for solo drives, stay off the beach and send the contents of your wallet to me. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel!

Hell she used to have a Camaro; a '14 that I bought her, but knee issues were making it hard to get out of, so she opted to trade it in towards a new Tacoma. Now she wants that back. She also has driven her uncles drag Nova down the strip. Wanted to build her Miata out to take on the tail of the dragon too. So it's not like she doesn't have it in her, I'm assuming it's not being in control.

The only issue there is you want more than a 2" shoulder when these melonheads come meandering around blind corners half in your lane lol. Easily 2-3x a day I'm raging and panic-braking over these jackoffs pulling that stuff. "Yeah buddy, you think your lane is too narrow for your pickup and lawn mower trailer so you'll take 1/2 of mine? It's ok, I'll just commandeer this dude's front lawn."

I'm game brotha
