Come on live a little! I'm retired and just can't drive my ZL/1 enough.

The only disservice you could do would be to get the car without the NPP option. |

rburke, why not get a ZL1 if you can afford it! It really is a beast as compared to the SS and like Gunkk said us Z owners tend to drive ours with no real issues!

If you can afford it and want the V8 get it. Both the turbo 4 and 8 use premium fuel so the difference in cost with your low mileage won't be a lot. I'd get it just for the sound. There is no sound that will match a V8. I'd have a V8 but my budget is tight and I drive a lot so I have 2 cars to split the miles- one being my Camaro with the V6. To be sure you like it, take one (or two) out for a test drive.

I have a 2016 SS convertible - has 12K miles on it so that has been 4K / year.
Zero issues with the car so far - it's a joy to drive. I added an axle back exhaust, but otherwise all stock. I work from home so no commute and have several cars so it just doesn't get driven as much as I'd like. But love driving it every chance I get for sure! |

I drive mine once a month, maybe, so it should be no problem.

Ticket, as in singular is cute. You weren't trying hard enough. To the OG. I'm eyeing a 1SS 1LE as my jump into 6th gen land. I won't lie the cheap and stealth mode in me looooooooooooooves the new LT1.... Go for it. |

The engine will be fine. It's not like you're leaving it for months on end and only turning the car on for 5 minutes and then leaving it for more months. My car only gets 3-5k miles a year because it's a weekend/evening fair weather day car and it's still running great.

You guys that work form home or have short commutes are lucky I think. My commute is long but mostly back roads and I get to enjoy the car I am driving. I like to drive so is it better to drive less and have nice SS or ZL1 or have the V6 and drive more like I do- more time to enjoy behind the wheel commuting. And some of you that do a long commute in the SS- wow it has to be expensive!

one thing I do for most of my cars is put them on a battery tender once in awhile. The modern electronics are always draining the battery even when you are not driving and driving them doesn't always bring the battery up to full charge. This will prolong battery life.
