Tuning with HPT...
What is the CHEAPEST laptop I can buy to use HPT. Provide links if possible. I have absolutely no clue. I don't care about watching youtube and such. The laptop is STRICTLY gonna be used SOLELY for tuning and emailing tunes. So if anyone has suggestions for the best cheap way to go. That'd be cool. I have been looking at a laptop from best buy for like 160 bucks. But idk if HPT supports windows 10. Its been 4+ years since I've used HPT... but i do know that expensive laptops are absolutely pointless when your using it for tuning and email lol. Thanks everyone. I definitely appreciate everyone's input and I will take everything into consideration.

I use a HP G70 from 10yrs ago that's a Intel duo with 4gb of ram. Has windows 10 and works fine with HPT. Just go on Woot.com or Amazon and buy a 300.00 HP or Dell that has at least 4gb of ram.

im actually leaning towards win7 as the os on a laptop from like 2014 seriously. maybe an updated processor and ram so i have some type of snappiness to the software... will i still have to send out my TCM to get tuned? or does HPT software take care of all that? Ive NEVER tuned with a tcm before and i rather not tbh. if i can get a tuner to email me a tune for the tcm vs sending it out.... that would be alot more beneficial obviously...

Plenty of reputable email tuners out there. Probably a good idea to start there and not learn on an lt4, or a10. You need to send your TCM to HPTUNERS, to get it unlocked. Last I heard.

You have to send the TCM out for unlocking on anything newer then 2017.

When did I ask that I need someone to tune my car for me? Also, I am looking online. hence me being on a forum looking and asking questions. I'm pretty positive you have no clue what a forum is for. Did you know a forum is in fact ONLINE? I guess its shameful to know what the general public is using for hardware to tune with and I should instead just go and overpay for something i don't even need. Your right... I am clueless
