Oil Cap Envy

I finally got my 0W-40 oil cap in the mail today. All the talk of it adding 10hp had me super envious. Thanks to all the people who took time to answer my oil change and routine maintenance questions.

I bought this when I had the C7 Z51 that I traded for the 1LE. It is one of the few things that came off that car and on the new one!

The new Mobile 1 ESP 0w40 Dexos 2 is the stuff to run. Works for street and track use. 5w30 was the OEM used oil and is what's in the manual but the new memo for dealers is to replace the LT4, LT1, LT5, and LTA engines with the new ESP 0w40 Dexos 2. Note that this is NOT the same as regular 0w40 Extended Performance non Dexos 2 or the European stuff which is also not correct. The new ESP stuff is only available to dealers until later this year. Your parts department should have it or be able to order it. So yes a cap that reflects the 0w40 is just the last touch.
