spare donuts for a 1LE?

Had a lousy experience a few weeks ago. Ran over a key in a parking lot and it lodged into my rear tire. Came back from the store to start my car and be greeted with a 14 psi low pressure rear tire warning. damn. I was in my home town, was able to fill it with some air enough to get home. But the rear tire could not be repaired, the damage was too bad. I had the factory good years on it with only 5k miles. A new set for the rears and 700+ bucks later and all is well. I just replaced them with another set of good years.

Anyhow, got me thinking about long trips. Would be nice to have a spare donut for my SS 1LE that would work for the front and rear. I have the 1LE so I have the 6 piston brembos in the front and 4 pistons in the rear, the set from performancespare supposedly says max 4 piston brembos. Anyone know if there is a donut tire that exists for the 1LE 6th gen?

Check out Modernspare.com. I've got one for both my Z/28 (6 piston Brembos) and Z06. Good to have if you drive on public roadways.

I believe a donut would wreak havoc on the eLSD, anti-lock brakes and magna ride due to wheel diameter. I think that would not only harm your car but be REALLY dangerous to drive!

That's what AAA is for

You may be correct, but sometimes cell phone service is lacking and it is nice to have a spare, even though (knock on wood) I have not had a flat in decades.
