Any idea if the 1LE will eventually be offered on the 2SS?

It's probably way too soon to know, but for those of who have a better feel for what Chevy has done in the past/might do moving forward, do you think they will eventually add it as a package for the 2SS as part of the 6th gen, or have they already issued a statement saying it will only be for the 1SS for this current generation?

Probably depends on how many people demand such a car with cash in hand....

They have responded to the desires of the enthusiast base before. And there's really no logistical reason not to offer a 2SS 1LE. I think it's more of a purity/principle thing.

1LEs used to come with manual seats, and handcrank windows. They were always the most basic spec to save weight. Exception being the 5th gen where you could order it with anything.

It will happen, the boy wonders who come up with ideas like not offering the 2SS with 1LE are soon enough kicked to the curb by good old fashioned capitalism. Making money selling people what they want is a win. Remember when the Z would never be offered with an auto or a removable top? It will be the same here, the only question is how long it takes for common sense to overcome stupidity.

I would not be surprised to see a 2SS as a 2018 or 2019 model year option. Personally, the 1SS with the 1LE package has everything I would want in the car anyways. The only thing I wanted from the 2SS package was the HUD and they did that with the 1LE package.

yes and when they are putting the car up for best drivers car you dont want an asterik that says the car could be $55k. plus ppl saying the car is $55k. this car is $45k no one can say otherwise.

after the hype dies down they might add the 2SS

auto climate, auto dimming mirrors, a couple leather bits, the disco lights, possibly no NAV option,

My main needs from the 2SS were HUD and leather so I'm good with the 1.5SS 1LE

The car as so much standard equipment that you don't need at the track, either.....

I hope they offer a 2SS/1LE. There is something to be said for an exceptional track car that can also offer GT comfort as a daily driver. Many more people would appreciate that than wouldn't...
