All you have to do is look at the GT350R to see what Ford dealers do with their higher end vehicles: exorbitant ADM's. This will be more applicable to the new GT500 because of the 5 years of hype and countless releases about it. 'stang fanboys have been drooling over this release for years, and the dealers know it. If it cannot be bought for less than $125k off the floor, is it still a $85k 'stang? |

Shaffe is first in line to pay over MSRP. He is dying for that 100k price tag. MSRP or not.

if the MSRP is 75K and someone pays 100K for it, IMO that doesn't make it a 100K car. That makes it a 75K car that some idiot paid an extra 25K for.

Paying a markup on this car will be silly. The same people that paid 20-50 k over on gt350 and gt350r today are regretting it badly because they can be found for much less. There is a gt350R in town for sale at a dealer for 60k with tech pack.
They haven't claimed the GT500 to be limited. I bought my 14 GT500 after the buzz fell off and got it 5 k off sticker without problem. There was 7 in Dallas in dealer showrooms they were trying to move. Im glad I got my 14 I love it. I think to get the first year will be a bad idea. They fixed a few things after the 16 on the gt350 and even after having familiarities to the gt350 block im sure they will have some things they will have to change just as GM did with the Z06. Im sure despite their best efforts there could be the need for better cooling or different suspension settings. |

1. Car does 0-60 in 3.5, same as the zl1 and the gt5 has the dct. My guess is the car weighs 4150-4200lbs and the lack of torque are the contributing factors. 1/4 mile is in the 10's, so the hp makes up for the weight and lack of torque once its gets going, it's probably also traction limited being a front engine vehicle.
2. Probably going for 95k otd price, around 80k MSRP (talking about top of the line carbon track pack) 3. For another 25k maybe? You can probably get a c8 me vette which will handle much better than the gt5 along with putting the power down better with more weight over the rear. 4. I know people will say factory to factory but for another 2-3k my zle will make another 100hp putting it at about 750 crank hp and almost the same torque. Car will still be very reliable and cost way less than the gt5. 5. Its gonna take something very special to make 4100-4200 lbs with magnetic dampners to handle like the 3800-3900 lbs zle with dssv's, only possibility is the make it up in the straights like previously stated in this thread This is all speculation but let's hear what you guys think, especially ford lovers! |

So 760 horses for the 2020 GT 500

Agreed! The car looks good but for close to $100k it’s a joke when I bought my ZLE for $58k new. I will wait for year two on the C8 and I will probably be able to buy for less than the 500. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's a good looking machine. I hope the new Camaro will improve in a significant way. I guess we all have to enjoy these machines until Cap and Trade taxes make us all drive Priuses. ACK
