I'm just going to stick with ACDelco for a while.

It's always been my understanding the Wix XP Line actually filters less effectively, due to its intended longer service interval. The Regular Wix Filter is what you want if you are doing regular oil changes.

I use a Mobil 1 oil filter #113 with no problems and I just noticed last week that WallyWorld sells them for around $10.00 which is cheaper than Advance Auto where I have been buying them lately for about $14.00. The filter has been updated for extended miles.

It really depends on the comfort level of your local dealer.

My local dealer has a fairly competent shop, in fact they know cars well, I am understating it. I have brought my last three cars to them over eight years and the joke now is if I bring a car in, there is something seriously wrong or I am completely stumped and couldn't fix it myself.

So bottom line, know your dealer, my dealer is ok with performance parts or fluids installed because they know what those products do. So I stick with Amsoil.

But for my father's Honda dealer up north, I tell him to put Mobil 1 Synthetic in all his cars because that dealer is an idiot.
