I've found that it also varies between gas stations. Some aren't as sensitive as others and don't stop filling quick enough and it spills out, so I don't bring the Camaro to those anymore.

It's optional now in Oregon, see https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...rvice-gas-law/. NJ is literally the last state where this is prohibited.
