Is that the cable rubbing issue in the engine compartment on the passanger side close to the fuse box?

Exactly. My cable had no rub thru yet on the outer fabric wrap, so I added a piece of 3/4” wire loom and a zip tie.

Easy peasy.

Way easier to put protection on the metallic part of the car...
Small pipe cut on the length covering the sharp metal piece ;-)

Yeah some door edge protector would probably help too, but I happened to have the wire loom and zip tie on hand.

Charged the battery, roads are gross so it's sitting. Thinking of taking mine to look at the Jacked Up Camaro(Blazer, they look great!), Premier's are already marked down $2500 nearby. Maybe they will hit the 8k off the Acadia's are by fall.

And some perspective for all of us grousing about our 8 speed's, Honda recalled the Ridgeline because car wash soap can corrode the Fuel pump. Now that's a FAIL(and I AM a Honda owner.) I thought sub par transmission fluid was bad, an important component that can't hold up to being washed

"Why is your car on fire?"
"Because I washed it" Can't make this stuff up.

Today's garage report...

Started off today installing some of the items I've collected over the winter. First off was the ZL1Addons rock-guards. I was skeptical at first about getting the rock guards thinking they might have a mudflap look, but after getting the car in the air and taking a closer look at some of the paint I can't believe at 700mi I already have rock chips. Glad I got them on!

Next up was the front license plate bracket. Sometimes law enforcement in MD can be sticklers for front tags so I'm glad ZL1Addons had this solution without having to rivet the front bracket to the bumper. I don't have their tow hook so I chose the option when ordering but ended up not needing it to install the bracket so I'm not sure the reasoning.

AND finally we started the Adam's Polishes Ceramic Wheel Coating! I've detailed plenty of cars in my day but this is the first time I've applied one of these ceramic coatings. We watched the Adam's video on-line to get a little guidance and then we were underway. Started out giving them a good scrub down with the Adam's Wheel Cleaner and then let them dry. Adam's then says you prep the surface with the coating prep and wipe away. After that you start laying the coating. At first we were following along like the recommended letting it sit for 30sec and then wiping away after but then we noticed it wasn't getting tacky like the video said so we started waiting 1-2min and then wiping way. Still trying to perfect the process with the coatings, tomorrow I'll hit it was the ceramic boost and hope it did something!

So far the finish product!

I installed SS emblems on the doors. Installed custom made fuse plate. Installed custom made pedal inserts. The pedal inserts and fuse plate are made by Camaro6 members.
