Who else is planning to order a 2022?

I'm planning to go to the dealer on Thursday 4/8 to place an order for a 2022 ZL1 1LE M6 (assuming gm doesn't change the order opening date). I've never ordered a car before. So freaking excited to build the exact car of my dreams.

Who else is planning to order a 2022 and what model????

Not I. But that is because I found a mint condition 2017 with every option I wanted on it with only 6,000 miles on it. Before I found that, I was on chevy's site everyday playing around with different options/configurations.

Has chevy published what updates have been made to the 2022 yet? I haven't seen anything definitive, nor any updates that I would deem worthy enough of trading my current car in for a brand new one.

So basically just aesthetic stuff. Ok. Definitely not trading in anytime soon. I think the only thing these new models have over mine is wireless carplay and the rear view mirror camera functionality. I would like to have both of those in my 2017, but not enough for me to change my car in and redo all the financing and all that.

I have ‘21 order in, but unless by some miracle it gets picked up this Thursday, it will need to become a ‘22. Thankfully, none of the changes affect my build, so not a big deal.

Biggest issue for everyone right now seems to be the semiconductor shortage and plant closure.

That's about the same experience I had. I found a pristine car with about every option (and colors) I had wanted; the purchase was almost forced.

I wouldn't have minded getting a brand new one, but it didn't make sense at the end of the day. There were little to no improvements made and I wouldn't have been able to get my first choice of color.

I agree that there haven't been many changes to upgrade...but for me, the closest I can find with the options I want is in Florida (I'm in PA)...but the dealer is 5 minutes from my house and I get exactly what I want. Plus, a few more months to save up some cash helps as well.

The car that I genuinely want, including the one that own, doesn't seem to be out there. I will be considering ordering a 2022 if I can get the right deal to do so.

If I didn't order my 2021 back in October 2020 (around my birthday), I would have ordered a 2022. Fortunately, I was able to get my 2021 before the CA/WA copper rule and avoided the silicon shortage on top of that (it was ready for pickup on New Year's Eve).
