If it was that bad I would have taken it to the dealer to have them fix it. I have an ss 1le with nearly 900 rwhp that gets 11 mpg and I gladly fill it up with e98 from a barrel as I cant get it at the pump @ 8.00/gal.

Am I on the Prius channel or something?
Gas prices are up lately. Would I buy an EV because of a buck a gallon. No, but if I did I certainly wouldn't trot around on a site made for sports cars and try to convince people that I am some financial genius for doing so. Unless of course I was trolling, then I probably would have made it all up anyways, just for poops and giggles. So either:

19.2 calculated in my SS. $3.19 per gallon. 10 to 20K per year mileage.
So at this rate it would be $1650 to $3300 per year ISH... EDIT: for the lazy ones... 137 to 275 per month <-- I know people that spend that much a month on crap fast food lunches

I hope you’re not referring to my Jack in the Box party this afternoon. Because it was damn delicious. But I’m closer to $35/mo on that stuff, I mean crap.

It was the way i drove it on the hammer all the time with what little space i had in the 4 mile drive to work. I had it on the highway once and it was around 22mpg. My C6's did much better on gas but they were a good bit less in weight.

Just add him to your ignore list... The fact that he publicly made a big deal about getting rid of a brand new car for an EV and is -still here- should tell you something.

Whether it costs me $40 to $100 to fill my Camaro, it won't change my desire to have the vehicle. It's not my primary car, though… If it was, it would probably be more concern if it really start to surge. I bought the car knowing damn well gas would get more expensive (obviously) like when gas was hovering around $4/gal years ago. Realistic expectations… In our ‘fleet’, we also have a Camry Hybrid (~40 MPG) and Mazda 3 (~28 MPG) to drive as well, so it just depends on the trip and such which car is used.
For now, it's a source of entertainment and relatively cheap one at that. For weekend cruising and the occasional commute to work when the weather is nice (like today I drove in to the office!), it’s not a big deal. I fill up maybe once every 3-4 weeks, if that? Personally, for me, I would still keep the car if gas approached $6-7/gal… $100 fill up’s would suck, yeah, but again for the more limited use/fun of this car, it’s not a huge deal for me. |

Put over 94 gallons in the 650 yesterday @ about $3/... That can last a week, or a a little over a day on occasion.
