I’ve never been a ‘DIY’ kind of person with cars yet since owning this car, I am trying to do as many things as possible, have a splitter on the way, and now I’m addicted to watching YouTube videos on how to do some mods myself... now I just need to work out how to convince the wife that side skirts and a new diffuser are worth spending on 🤔

Its so much better when you have the ability to complete these jobs yourself. Always feels great. I do all my own work, minus tranny builds. Love doing motors. Big plus is getting familiar with every part of your car. Helps so much when trying to figure out issues.

Two advantages with DIY projects: Saving money and gaining mechanical knowledge.

Yeah, I just need to work out on those jobs I can’t do myself like some painting and tunes etc how much is a reasonable price because I’ve never modified a car. Back in the day I had a 97 WRX which was a rocket but I bought it already modified

Maybe this photo will convince her on how well the side skirts will look. Easy DIY project too.

My wife and I made a line item in our budget for fun money for each of us. From there that's where my Camaro budget comes from. It helped stop a lot of heated discussions about spending money on the Camaro. Now she's happy that I'm happy when I spend money and install new parts. Currently saving up for a few new mods. They should be installed by this summer if all goes as planned.

Sometimes I think I like that version better than my 10 spoke 1LE wheels. Very sharp car!

Same here. Only problem is I already blew my budget for the year. LOL
(Headers, plugs, wires, vinyl graphics, hood liner bowtie, few more LED mods, engine bay bling)

If my wife wants a line item in the budget maybe she should get a job.

Damn man. First pic I have seen of your car on an overcast day. The color looks so much deeper. I love my Cyber Gray but if I would have done more research before I bought I definitely would have tried to find an RJT car.

I am you 100% I do it all but I leave the transmission for the pros and dyno tuning.
