Phastek ambient lights

So I ordered some aqua ambient lights and am trying to wire it into the door light controls. The splice they supplied for the power does not seem to be working. Does anyone have any recommendations on a better wire splice piece?

I'm guessing they gave you something like this

I would recommend using a regular butt connector with insulation/heat shrink. One wire comes in on one side crimped alone, and the other side both wires get crimped together (the original/cut wire and the new one you're adding)

That's what I do anyways.

Hello,

Were you able to determine it was the splice causing the issue?
