Sunroof Question - Installation
I'm looking into purchasing a 5th Gen Camaro (2010) the car I found is at a great price about $4k less than the one that has a sun roof.
I'm not looking into installing a sunroof on the camaro by cutting into the roof since the two roof styles are different (reverse mohawk) I was wondering is there a way to replace the roof with the roof that has a factory holy for a sunroof? And than install a factory sunroof? I have very little knowledge on how the roof of these cars are made, so if someone could explain my options if that would be possible. Thanks! Worst case scenario, I'll just deal without a sunroof since the price difference is relatively large. |

Can be done, but you would be better off buying the other car for 4k more.

What he said ..... But just keep looking for the exact car you want. You'll find another deal.

Don't think two inches of headroom can be lost from something that isn't two inches thick.

I test drove one with a sunroof or tried to and I could not fit at all. I had to lean My head to the right so it was in the sunroof section and that was very uncomfortable. I was not even going to bother trying one without a sunroof but I did thanks to the salesman. I can now fit my hand between my head and the roof sitting comfortably. I never would have dreamed it. Yes 2 inches difference is no lie I don't care how thick it measures. |
