I've been thinking about getting a Ruger LCP for a while now (meaning many years) and I think that I am gonna pickup a LCP II with the laser mounted this next week. Kind of a blessing in disguise that they released the heavily improved LCP II right when my finances have freed up.

IDK, I've heard 1:9 is less accurate with heavier grain bullets, say 70 and above. All I shoot is 55 or 62 so 1:9 is fine with me. If there's another reason someone please do tell.

I haven't had any problems with mine. I shoot 55 grain.

1:9 means the bullet spins 1 revolution every 9" thus making it a slower twist than a 1:8 or 1:7. Early M16s were 1:14.

The twist rate could affect accuracy because the heavier bullet may not be spinning fast enough to stabilize so it yaws going through the air and can keyhole a target (hit it sideways or otherwise not directly point first). Typically, a heavier bullet needs a faster twist rate.
