Lots of Soot in tail pipes

New to turbos.I have 5000 miles on car no oil loss what so ever runs fine but lots of soot (black resin ) at end of tail pipes. Wipes right off. Is this common with the turbo 4 cylinders. Its done this from day 1.

I also have what seems like recent increase in black fluffy soot. Weather / gas blend related?

something i noticed online.

"... new research out of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering shows that GDI isn't necessarily the greener choice. Although GDI engines emit lower levels of CO2, they emit more black carbon—the climate-warming particle commonly known as soot—and toxic volatile organic compounds, such as benzene and toluene."

Yes, unfortunately, it's totally normal with direct injection turbo engines. There is absolutely nothing that can fix it.

I have cleaners and cloth ready in my garage every time I get home. I literally clean my exhaust tips after every drive. It's insane.

Mishimoto makes a black tip option. Or you can paint them yourself I guess...

I like my chrome tips.

By the way, NevrDull and Mother's mag polish makes a 5-minute job of cleaning the tips.

My tips do not get sooty DD 50-75% ethanol in the LTG. It's surprisingly clean.
