The majority of hot rods I've had since learning to drive have been manual transmission. I used to say 'real hot rods have a clutch'. I looked hard for a manual transmission ZL1 but they were as hard to find as virgins in Hollywood.

I'm very happy with the A10, especially after having an A8 in my previous C7 Z06. When I get the urge to shift, flick the shift lever over and have fun with it. Not many humans can shift as fast as an A10 in either mode.

I like mine so far in my new LT1 with around 250 miles. I hit it one time from a slow roll and the back end wanted to slide out even worse than my modded C6 did. 245 tires won't cut it. Still have not really got on it yet. But i can tell it is tail happy in turns so watch out.

I don’t like mine very much
I often feel holes in thé gears ... that is very strange to have a computer to think to be in your place.

Sometimes, on a normal driving, you leave thé car driving without accelarating (1500tr/min) the automatic shift gear back to a previous level (by example from 9 to 8) ... when you accelerate again, there is a big hole... that is that I don’t like...

I came from a 2016 ss with bolt ons and e85 6-speed manual to a A10 ZL1 and I cannot put into words how awesome it feels to 1.) just have a Zl1 and 2.) feel the car rip through the gears staying in that 5500rpm range and 3.) not have to sit in traffic in a manual transmission every single morning lol

I should have put this in the intro section, but I am a long time Corvette owner as well as owned a 2015 Z/28. I will be buying a ZL1 1LE for a daily driver and add to my ZR1's. I am thinking Satin Steel Gray, Sunburst Orange, Shadow Gray or Black.

Question:
If you are in Auto mode and downshift with the paddles. Will it automatically shift to the next gear once you hit redline?

If you use paddles it puts it into manual mode and it will hit the rev limiter.

The A10 in these cars feels like a CVT transmission except you can actually feel it shift gears, but it has that same sort of linear pull that a CVT has. I assume its because the gear ratios are very close together and there's so many of them. Its very strange compared to most transmissions.

I feel the need to post this whenever someone mentions the A10. No one is shifting this fast in a manual lol

If you've pulled the shift lever to the left into Manual, it definitely will not shift at redline. However, when in auto then downshifted with the paddle, mine HAS shifted to the next higher gear on a number of occasions, so I'm perplexed by this issue right now

That’s what I would like to know. When highway racing I prefer to downshift to the right gear. There is a delay if you punch it while in Auto mode which is what I’m trying to avoid but would like to know if it will go to the next gear.
