I appreciate those who have been early adopters for the LT2 IM. I’m strongly considering the LT2 IM but I am also indecisive since most prefer to opt for MSD. What are some of the main reasons you’ll chose the LT2 over the MSD because it appears based on GPI your can port the LT2 but it will be very thin at the snout and it won’t be a “true” 103 mm even though it fits versus the MSD it’s not a problem and it can handle boost if you want it down the road which is a trade off I assume

This link below will answer your questions, check it out.

The price, real Dyno gains, LT2 with cover looks way better then the MSD IMO made me go for the LT2 manifold. Plus I am just the type that likes to fiddle and do stuff that others will not. I did the 103mm on my 2016 and really wasn’t satisfied with it. So I decided to go with the LT5 throttle body this time.

the biggest reason to go LT2 over msd is price. but hell, if the vendors and sellers push the prices above $500... might as well get an msd. you can buy a used msd for a few hundred more. the LT2 manifold is the LS6 manifold to the LS1. people will inflate its value right out of a reasonable area. i bought an LT2 cheap, i won't ever sell it just because i think they are cool... and i know they are legit.

with all of that being said, hopefully my car will have a ported msd on it next weekend. then i'll have a used (unported) msd to sell. no one needs 4 intake manifolds haha.

Or can just shop around so you dont have to pay some of the vendors pricing. I have about $250 in mine. Only cost about $30 to modifiy it and can port it yourself.

I have the GPI one also.

How do you remove the line at the back of the OEM intake? I can't figure it out.

I'm assuming that hose plugs into the one that GPI drilled in the back of the intake?

Push the red ring in (towards manifold) and wiggle the hose out.. I found it easiest to follow that hose and disconnect it where it ties into another hose and pull the manifold out with hose Still connected. Then u can disconnect it from manifold while it’s on bench

Wow Dvs510, your set up looks is so very close to my plan with my 2021 LT1 that is being built this week (11/2). E85, LT2 intake, secondary delete, Borla s Mufflers, custom tune by Jannetty, 180 stat, moded or RF intake, Solar 91mm TB. Did you ever dyno your car?. Curious how much RWHP you ended up with.

Uffffff😉

Did you port the LT2 opening to match the 95mm throttle body? If you didn’t port the opening the 95 mm is acting like an 87 mm. So no check engine light don’t worry then.

Get a AFR gauge to be safe.
