Advanced Fuel Dynamics Flexlink kit

I was thinking about a Flexfuel kit for my ZLE, in searching I found the AFD kit. From my previous cars, I would run a mix, and it would require a tune.

I track my car often, and hard, I want something that will take that abuse and in turn maybe give me a few HP.

Anyone who has run this kit that has input would be awesome to tell me your thoughts, or if you think its worth the upcharge over the wildhammer kit.

Hey I’ll be installing this kit this weekend so can’t speak to it’s durability but the simple fact that you can constantly monitor the fuel mixture without the need for a gauge pod makes it a no brainer imho. I’m assuming you’ve seen the women driven you tube video on it? She tracks her car so one can assume that it’s up to the task. To note, if you do buy the kit you’ll need to pick up a fuel line removal tool as it doesn’t come with one (cheap $7 Amazon purchase).

Never heard of it but like stated before, being able to read the content so easily is a major plus. With that being said from what I’ve read stating about e40 seems to be the safe zone for these cars stock fuel system. Should make 30whp and best of all not pull timing lap after lap.

I had one installed in my Zl1 a few weeks ago. No issues so far and works great. Love that you can just use the phone to check the content. It gives an instant readout however I found its best to drive for a couple of minutes before checking the E content as it had a longer chance to mix and the numbers change.

As far as gains Im pushing out about 40 more hp on the wheels. Running at about 65%E

I have had my eye on one for my Jeep SRT. They have been around a few years.

I have personally tuned some "non tunable" vehicles for E85 and the first thing I add is a wideband sensor so you know where you are in the tune which this kit lacks. Also if you write them for a wideband log of there tune leeme know what you get.....

Looks nice but expensive and you can do the same thing for a fraction of the price. Amazon OBD reader and App for your phone.

Agree with post #6. You can purchase a obd2 bluetooth scanner from amazon for 15.00 and then download the torque pro app. This app allows you to monitor E content and many other GM pid's. Also works with any Flex sensor kit.

With the OBD2 scanner, doesn’t it stick out a bit? I’ve never had one, What are the chances of smashing it with your left knee?
