My 2018 Camaro Vs my 2015 GT , stock to stock

I have been going crazy trying to get to the track and run my new Camaro 1SS ... We have been rained out at both our tracks here for weeks , so the track opened for Friday test and tune to make up for all the rain outs ..

Temps were in the 90s and the humidity was 70% , so I knew the car was not going to run its best in that air but I had to go test it out ..

My 2015 GT ran the best of 8.30s .. It was 3 years ago at the same track .. I never got it to run faster than that stone stock no matter what the air ( DA ) was .. I did not leave it stock for long and added a Procharger that ended up running 9.80s after a lot of tuning ..

My new Camaro with 500 miles and NO mods of any kind in bad air ran a 1.83 60 foot and a 7.96 @ 89.84 .. I let the stock run flats down to 28 PSI and the car hooked just fine ..I tried it in both track and sport modes and it ran the same numbers ..

I'm super happy the car busted in the 7s in the 1/8 mile on my first trip to the track .. Now I need to get down to our 1/4 mile track and see what she will do ..I'm sure I can better the numbers once the weather cools down here in FL ..But I'm pretty sure it will go high 11s in the 1/4 mile with some good air ..

DA for the two 7.90s passes >

Density Altitude: 2254 feet
Relative Density: 93.57 %
