New 18 MB ZL1 LE

Hey gang! New to the forum and the Camaro world. Just picked up a Mosaic Black ZL1 LE. Shipped in from TX, should be here the 11th! Super stoked! Had one question already...

Did anyone with an 18 add the skip shift eliminator yet? Was told by JET that they don’t have one for the 18 ZL1 yet. Any help is appreciated

I’ll just say that I don’t think one is necessary. I see a message pop up on the dash display and I rev right along and shift when and into which gear I want to. It doesn’t force you to shift. Unless, you’re that bothered by the message, I wouldn’t bother.

It caught me out once or twice during the first 150 miles, now I don't even notice it. You will adapt.

If you shift before 2,000rpms or after 2,900rpms you will bypass the annoying skip shift issue.

I'm not sure what the details are on the conditions for when it is activated but it seemed to me that on my 5th Gen SS it came on all the time, lol!! On my Hellcat (of course not a 6th Gen Camaro) it barely happens. So that is not completely relevant or useful information, lol!! I'm thinking that on the newer cars it isn't as pronounced as the previous generation tho. I'd suggest driving it and seeing how it is before spending any money.

My skip shift rarely comes up on the 6th gen, much much less than my 5th gen did.
