Gas Mileage V6 vs V8

My V6 averages 18mpg.

The other night me and my buddy went to the gym and we drove each other's camaros, he has a 2014 1ss. I scrolled to his MPG and was floored to see his averaging at 17mpg. I guess this could be from the V8 being able to drop down to four cylinders?

By the way, what a difference, not in power necessarily, but feel between the two, brakes, suspension, feel in general was way different.

What MPG are you all averaging normally and what engine do you have? (No numbers about going down a hill, pressing the reset button and farting out the window to get some 36mpg.)

I could get 29 in my LS3 stock. now 27. I generally average 20 playing with it and with 3.91 gears. 25mpg @75. The V6 barley gets better mileage. 18mpg you must be driving it like a Camaro.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

20mpg, 46mph average speed over 9600 miles. Mostly highway with some bursts in the triple digits and a track day mixed in. Hibernating for winter :(

all depends on your type of roads and discipline. too much traffic around to play much. To get that kind of mileage you do have to drive it like just another car. Doesnt take much to bring the mileage down.
