Reasons for buying a v6 over a v8?

I was just curious what reasons people might have ( other than cost ) for buying a v6 over a v8. I understand peoples financial constraints. I am curious if there are other reasons.

If you take financial issues out of it, nothing. If money wasn't a factor why would someone buy a trailer over a mansion ??

Much higher tech motor. It is the future, so why not start learning about it now before the tech makes it to the V8s.

Had nothing to do with money...I don't care as much about speed anymore. I drove both an SS and the 2LT and decided there was no point in the v8 for me. I have always liked the lines of cars not the speed. To each their own...

Too many cops, why waste the money when you can't use the power?

So says the person with a V6.

Must be tough to watch the commercial "Gee I could have had a V8", ha.

The V6 is no slouch, 323 HP is impressive. Honda engineers are fuming over that one.

Given that a new car is not a great investment, money-wise, I figured what is $2k, 4k whatever k until I got to a SS/RS vert. Just glad they didn't have a ZL1 vert in 2012.

Technology plays a part too...LFX is more technologically advanced than a LS3/L99. And to add, others are satisfied that a loaded 2LT can be just as satisfying as a loaded 2SS.

Good mileage, much lower price, plenty left to customize as you see fit and more than ample power for any even semi- rational person not on a track

At my dealer, a minimum $10 k jump for an SS. Yes, my dealer is a crook, but that was insane

Yes, thank you for beta testing that direct injection technology that's been on diesels for decades.
