It happens a lot to me from folks in my neighborhood, usually a bunch of meow meows driving import sedans or mini vans. Oddly enough, the ones with higher end cars just say "nice car".

I always ask anyone that gives me shit about my V6 "what engine does your camaro have in it?" Usually that shuts them up.

I don't worry about it - one kid at my work said "nice mustang" - I didn't bother to correct him, someone else did. I just said "thanks, it matches my nail polish".

Perhaps one response is that I only like engines with the number of cylinders in multiple of 6...My AM Vantage has the V12.

I know a gentleman that owns two vipers & another one who recently sold his Mustang & picked up a '13 Challenger SRT8. Both of them are really cool about my V6 even though I know they'd never even consider buying one.

Seems like the majority of the haters own nothing...

I had my v6 for 7 months before I got my SS and got the same crap. It'll always happen, just ignore it.
