Did you consider the ZR1 & how far is it from the carbon in regards to the coin?? I tried to like the vette, but I just felt like I was in a coffin...it's sorta hard to explain.
Any idea of the weight of the ZL1 to the new one?? I bet it can scoot. |

Interesting. Besides their similarities I actually consider the ZL1 a cooler car than its big brother. Particularly the 1LE which I recognize you didn’t have. The pecking order in coolness to own and street pressence.
1LE Similar/better performance on a track Backseat utility More rare Z06 ZL1 Of course this is just IMHO and what matters most is yours! Also even according to the above you executed a nice trade up. Plus if you are retiring soon the Vette has a softer ride!

I did consider a ZR1 but who knows. As far as the"cool" factor goes, I originally wanted a 1LE but choose not to drive a stick around town. The A10 is incredible. As far as the ride goes, a ZL1 and ZO6 come with basically the same ride comfort. The 1LE 's adjustable set-up can be lived with around town. None of them are that bad!
Retirement- I'm not that old. I'll just leave it at that. Already had a caddy ctsv... Corvettes are a snugg fit in side but that's part of the driving feel....the carbon cost was reduced due to being a left over car. Weight wise, I don't feel a big difference in driving either, although the corvette does have an aluminum frame amongst other weight savers. ZR1's are a stout car I see. After looking at the picture of yours I got on the internet today and tomorrow I'm heading out to Indiana (900 miles) to pick up my new C65 too! For those of you out there wondering... I got two offers of $51K and one offer at $52,500 for my ZL1

Good luck in Indiana ! I think I saw that car today on autotrader(?). May have been one of only two new ZO6 carbon 65's left #147?
As far as ugly, hey to each their own. Initially I wasn't sure about decals, but the more I looked at the car, the more I liked it. Last edited by 91454; 05-17-2018 at 06:07 PM. Reason: Add |

Can't go wrong buying Chevy's top dog. Hell, the top dog in it price range by far for that matter. Congrats!
