Camaros and Quarantine
So with all of California ordered to stay home and much of the country in self quarantine mode ( except for the crazy Spring breaking millennials doing the electric slide on the beaches down in Florida), Is anyone using this time to work on their Camaro and on what exactly?
Stay safe everyone. We will get through this. |

Started detailing it today. Washing, claying, polishing, sealant then waxing... one panel at a time. I usually like to finish one step on the entire car, but I'm fighting the pollen every step of the way this time of year.

With the gyms and my even my association gym closed, not much to do after work. I usually go to the gym every day after work. I washed, waxed and detailed my Camaro yesterday with the extra free time.

I was going to pull my brake calipers off this week and paint them red (don't like the silver/gray that comes on the ZL1 calipers).
In NC, we don't have a shelter in place order yet. But with all of the freakin pollen falling for the next few weeks, I don't see me pulling the ZL1 out of the garage until it is done.

Just finished a full detail. Clayed, then blacklight glaze, then hydroslick followed by butter wax. Also ordered an axleback redline series from stainless works I'll throw that on when it arrives..

I have a red stripe package and some interior mods coming. And I will make all my white interior threads red! That should last me at least until November when hopefully we are on the recovery side by then....

I had planned for a big project in June/July which hinged upon my wife taking an extended vacation overseas with my kids. Looks like that's highly unlikely now in light of the pandemic. My wife would erase me from this planet if she ever finds out about my plan to heavily mod the Camaro. Her vacation would've been my only opportunity. Now I may have to wait till next summer, well assuming everything is back to normal....

Washing it couple times per week, just trying to keep up with the pollen machine that has already started in Greensboro.

I'll only do small mods, add a Soler throttle body, do the wireless charging pad upgrade and some general cleanup, cabin air filter, interior detailing and the like.
