Best quality black lug nuts. (No rust spots)

So I purchased the spline lugs from MRR to go with my M017 wheels and I love the wheels but the lug nuts are not good quality. Only been mounted once and there are already rust spots where the socket touched (after one time of mounting...) looking for some strong better quality black lugs that I don’t have to worry about rusting immediately. The wheels and lugs have less than 500 miles on them. Oh and I might add I followed the wheel cleaning and sealing from Glen E with Sonax and Hydro2 right after install. that did not help with the lug nuts rust issue. Wheels are doing good though. Any advice thanks.

The ones I received from carid are rusting as well.

I'm going to try Gorilla:

or vinyl caps

Gorilla FTW. Been using them on my Camaro for 7 1/2 years now, not a speck of rust and not a single problem with them.

I bought black Gorillas. so far so good. I also heard you can use a plastic baggy when you take off chrome lugs and that will keep them from rusting. haven't tried it though.

Just get the black plastic caps. That is what I use.

Unless you are going open lug design for a different look, all that is needed are caps to hide the chrome. This way you also keep the safety and integrity of the stock lugs.

The MRR wheels state that you have to use narrow lug nuts because the stock ones won’t fit in the aftermarket wheels. The spline style fit perfect but the quality is trash. I’m gonna order the gorillas and go from there. I know a ton of people are running MRR M017 wheels so I was hoping they would have some suggestions or recommendations.

I do like the idea of the caps but not sure if they will fit the skinny spline lug nuts I have on currently. That would be an easy solution though!

Those look good! And they look like they would be narrow enough for my aftermarket mRR wheels. Do you by chance remember what part# or model those are? I can’t deal with rusty lug nuts they are brand new. Not happy with the MRR Brand ones quality at all.

Using spline drive gorilla - happy with quality, daily driven, winter too. And they get swapped 10-15 times during summer season - race tires!
