If you don't mind, what did your setup cost and did you install it all yourself?
Thanks,
DC

$530 RF subs & amp, LC2i - Amazon
$270 ST box, Bose harness, mic del, shipping - $ubthump
$150 amp cable kit - Bestbuy

It's a very simple install with a little cutting of the styrofoam for amp cable clearance and a snug fit. The box seems to stay put, but I've got large Velcro strips just in case. The LC2i provides the switched 12v for remote power to amp.

Nice

I'm sure it sounds great, but I would have one concern. At low volume levels you'll probably be fine, but if you crank it up for a long period of time I would be concerned about air flow to the amp. It may overheat when pushed.

Thanks! I might follow your lead, a bit more bass would be great!

I am replacing all my Bose speakers with Infinity 2 ohms, but will need more bass like your project. What were your settings on the LC2?

Has anyone tried to add subs on the rear deck to save room for the trunk?
Boxed in or open to the trunk?

Looks nice, good job.. I have similar setup in my non-bose. Amps are attached to back of sub box. They do get hot, so keep an eye on that tucked in there. The LC2i are excellent.

Very well done. Your picture now has a home in my downloaded files for future projects.

I'm sure I already know the answer to this question, but... Can the seat be reinstalled in any way with these type of boxes? I'm guessing the subs throw too far and heat would be an issue.

Are there any options to retain the seat?

Looks to me like that the seat back is just folded down. I imagine that the seat would be able to be put up if needed looking at the pictures.

My seat folds back up.. looks normal. Would never know subs were behind it. No issues with heat. The subs are muffled by the seat slightly or you can leave the seat down. My opinion front facing is better, sound is better throughout cab and no rattling trunk. Bass knob helps with adjusting levels.
