2000hp fuel system

My current inline pumps under the car are not working as they should so I am stepping up to a surge tank set up. I love the radium triple pump set up but am concerned it could run itself dry pretty quick. I decided to build my own with a little more volume.

I started with a pair of China surge tank for $70 each. Everything after that was not so cheap. 4 dw350il pumps, 4 check valves, some y’s and other fittings.

The China surge tank measures 4.1L empty. Probably 3L after pumps. I am going to call it 2L useable before risking sucking air into the pumps. Looking at the flow rates of the pumps I should be able to run 2 pumps(one in each tank) for 24 seconds or all 4 pumps for 12 seconds.

My math says each pump is good for 500 additional hp of e85. 2 pumps would be 1000hp + ~400hp from the stock in tank pump. 1400hp for 24 seconds. All 4 pumps should be good for 2400hp for 12 seconds. I will likely never need all 4 pumps but might need 3 of them some day.

The basic operation is I have a t in the fuel line under the car. It has a .035 jet in it. However much fuel passes through that jet will be what fills the surge tanks. After they are full the overflow goes back to the stock tank. I have a regulator after the fuel rails set at 70psi and it returns to the surge tanks. Under normal operation only the in tank pump will run and it will be at less than 70psi so it will be a returnless system. When needed the aux pumps will kick on pushing the fuel pressure to 70psi and returning any extra fuel to the surge tanks.

There will be some fuel running around in circles from the .035 fill jet bit that fuel will never go under the hood so hopefully it won’t heat the fuel much.

I should be testing it soon and will have more pics once i finish things up. Hopefully it works as planned.

Hard core! I am getting the Radium triple for my truck, but my power goals aren't as high as yours
