I dropped the trans pan to change out the trans filter. The magnets had a good amount of sludge on them for only having 3k miles on it since the dealer did the trans flush and filter.
I added 7 qts of fresh blue label mobile 1 atf lv hp got it up to temp and pulled the fill plug. It drained about 1/2 qt. Trans was feeling fine, I did it just to do it. I went to the local 1/8 mile test and tune. First time using the 2 step. I dropped from 1.7 sixty foots to 1.6s. I can only stall up to 2800 rpm because the converter is tight. Being on the 2 step for about 3 seconds builds 0.5 psi of boost. LOL. Those passes bested me a 6.7 at 112. I'm scheduled to go back to the 1/4 this Friday. Everything with the car seems to be on point. I think this is my time to shoot for the 9. If I can hit the 1.6 short time again and the trans bangs the gears I might just get that 9.9 as it sits. I told my tuner I'm getting that 9 Friday and will turn the boost controller one turn at a time until it does it. He sent me a new tune with a little less timing and said I'm pretty much tapped out of fuel. He said at my own risk, another 3 psi MAX with the new tune.

Good luck, probably need to be able to launch the turbos about 3500 to 4000. Then you'll be in the 9s for sure. Crank on it man and get there.

Ordered a zl1 intank pump and washed the car.
Played w my scanner channels and gauges. I should be able to look over mid pass and see if I’m over boosting. My low side dropped to 69psi for a split second then stayed around 75psi for a 1st - 6th pull. What type of low and high side pressure should I be shooting for?

Are you running E? Cause 69 to 75 isn't bad for the low side on 93 or race fuel. My low side on race fuel dropped into the mid to upper 40s. High side was 2600 to 2800

93 pump. I’ll double check but I’m pretty sure it never dropped into the 60s
1/4 is cancelled today. Rained out.

Technically anything over 60+ psi is fine for low side. Either way a fluctuation between 69-75psi is fine. Mine holds 68-70psi with a LT4 tank pump + JMS booster on E64 @ 10 psi. My high side is 26-2800psi. Probably quite a bit lower in power then you(hitting 84lb/min in my logs) but you get the idea.

Obviously if your tracking the car with long straights then its very important to keep the low side as high as possible but mine never dropped until the very end in the traps and was still supplying enough to keep the high side happy. Its good to have some back up for the low side as King said that way when you do want to make more power your ready for it.

Something happened. Shes hurt.
All pulls were within an hour with a passenger. After each log I checked for any red flags. To me a non-tuner, it looked fine. no additional knock, only went up 1 psi, low side fuel did drop a bit but overall afr was still conservative in low/mid 11s. I pulled a plug and it looked great - no detonation. 1st log was everything original as a benchmark. 15.5* max timing with a max of 16psi. Ran a 60-130 in 5.6 seconds on track A. 2nd log removed 1.5* of timing and added 1 more psi. ran a 60-130 in a 5.8 seconds on track B. 3rd log was back to original tune leaving the 1 more psi. Ran 60-130 in 5.3 seconds on track A. I'm a dumbass for not logging the actual race. It was about 2 hours after the last logged pass. Temp was a little colder around 45* outside. I made a 50-100 warm up. felt good. Raced a 50-130 and whatever happened. I'm trying to get the video to see if it happened during the pull or on decel. I honestly don't remember. The smoke was pouring out of the catch can up out of the hood vent. The car shut off and I coasted to a stop. Oil from the catch can was sprayed on the motor. The engine still has plenty of oil on the dipstick. The coolant is fine. Meth tank full. No visible failure. The motor cranks over very easily but doesn't fire, as if there are no spark plugs in it. There is a light tick when cranking it, not a hard knock. It's got fuel and spark. I'm going to log it cranking over then start the tear down today to try to find what happened.

Took the pass head off. Front #2 piston is destroyed. Valve broke in half. Looks like the rod is broke too because the piston is the same height as the #4 next to it. I’ll pull the driver head off next time I get out in the shop.
