1LE SS vs GT350
I know a lot of us on here believe the 1LE is gonna best, or at least match the GT350 performance on the track. I thought for entertainment purposes, while we wait for the 1LE to come out, check out what the GT350 folks are saying. Most of them don't believe the 1LE will be able to keep up with the GT350 and some of them are saying that the GT350 outperforms the C7 Stingray Z51 on the track?
Check out the thread here. Some seem quite bitter http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...E-SS-is-coming! |

my lord, how quickly forget the 4.6 era. I loved my 4th gen LS1 and my s197 but when people get this clouded its pretty bad.
"I am a Ford guy. Anything that Chevy does will be met head on by Ford. Additionally, Ford will always meet and exceed their competition. The new 1LE, or any other mass produced Chevy products they manufacture, are nothing for me to be concerned with. I will always purchase Ford performance vehicles as long as Ford continues to produce quality products (and supports these products) and can be purchased at a affordable (pun intended) price. Keep trying GM. LS Boss" |

So GM dealers didn't have markups on the C7 when they came out? Didn't mark up the Z/28 either? Dodge dealers didn't have ADM on Hellcats?
All dealers do it, not just Ford dealers. They are independently owned and operated, has nothing to do with the manufacturer. I think the 1LE will be a great car, no doubt. I'm thinking it will be better than the base GT350 and comparable to the GT350 TP. |

The C7's are being discounted. The GT350's probably will never be discounted or at least not for some time. When I bought my 2014 Shelby GT500, the car has already been out for over a year and dealers were still trying to get over sticker. |

Maybe some of you guys should share this on the SVT and Mustang6G boards and see how long it takes for the thread to blow up? I'd predict 20 pages after about 4 or 5 days.
Chevy is throwing down the gauntlet...claiming the 1LE will run with and beat the GT350 (I'm sure...base GT350. If its the GT350TP, now that would be super impressive) https://www.yahoo.com/autos/camaro-1...213031084.html But I've been saying it...I think it will be a GT350 equal or beater for thousands less.

2017 350 is going to come standard with MRC and all the coolers. So basically the track package comes standard now. I wonder how much the sticker is going to go up.

Probably not as much as some might think. With MRC and the coolers being standard now it means that they can buy in much larger quantities, which will drive the cost down. If they make MRC an option for the 2018 GT's then that will result in lower costs again. My guess is it'll bump the price up for about $52,000 to start, maybe $53,000. |

Ahh very interesting...well then my guess is that the 2017 1LE will not best the 2017 Mustang GT350, but it won't be far off, and it will be at least 7 grand less.
Wouldn't surprise me if MRC becomes an option for the GT either....good for Ford. It would be a good move.

That puts one after destination and gas guzzler tax (that everyone seems to forget) at about $55,000 to start...probably over $10,000 more than a SS 1LE. |

One member just said his "source" is saying no more than $3,500 increase on non-r models, so if that's the case, looking at least an MSRP of 53,000.
