Last Friday I stopped by T.F. and we got the door panels apart they are gonna give it shot and make this part in carbon and you reuse your light strip. The light strip is held on with melted tabs so they come off very easy. May have to use tape to hold light on or other method.

Anybody else order the fuse box cover from Trufiber? I ordered mine mid December. Told yesterday it could be another 5 months to get. Was also told they are gonna be updating the website with new stuff, but yet to see anything new listed.

Went on site yesterday to get parts for my son's SS 1LE.
Only 1 engine bay dress up part and it was out of stock.
The 2 main interior pieces I needed were also out of stock.
Screw it, we'll go another route!

Believe me they want to get the stuff in stock and recoup there investment... The Chinese's new years puts it on hold by 45 days easy then 30 days by cargo container. to USA then a week by rail or LTL to Trufiber. That's if it all goes smooth in customs which they have really cracked down on since Trump's been in office.

The Cargo Container by sea and customs is why I got out of the Remote Control hobby business. I would give customers a chance to pre-order and save a good amount of money on the latest EDF jets. This gave me buying power to fill a container and make some good profits. However, 1 small delay and you miss an expected delivery date and everyone wants a refund. Then your stuck with a hefty bill with nothing to sale yet.

Its long wait times is just the nature of sourcing out overseas!

When they come back to work from there celebration (Feb 4th i think) if there is something you need and its small you can have it direct ship and forgo the 30 day plus by sea time. DHL isn't to bad on price and its 2 to 3 days if that.

Also when you see me posting parts I have the demo part, they make 1 part generally if they fit then they make more if there is a problem the mold needs to be changed and the process starts all over again.

And as I all ways stated they will not go full production until all the R & D is done for the car..

I gave them a trunk, The door lights, the Pillars, the sunroof or garage door bezel, and a few other things so it probably delayed more. I also need to get my car to a body shop so they can make a mold and start on the rear diffuser to complete the ground effects pkg.

I know everyone is anxious about getting parts so am I, I'm even more so I think. Keep in mind I contributed $3000.00 in new and used parts so far to make this happen for gen 6 owners. I'm still waiting to on 30 or so parts to get my investment back aswell.

Just please be patient..

You won't believe this but every part so far has fit perfect except that fuse cover. I sent them just a lid. However the tabs that contribute to the release of the oem cover are wider than the lid and so the cover wouldn't sit down all the way.

I appreciate the time and money you have put forth in testing and by no means is this a bash on you. My post was meant to inform those waiting on parts of what i learned yesterday. I do wish Trufiber would do a better job on communicating with those of us that made a purchase. Several times now they say they will get back to me and days go by from the date they say they will contact me, but it never happens.
