Clear Bra

Is there anyone who knows of a place in San Diego that has/installs Clear Bra's on cars. I live out in the Imperial Valley and the bugs out here can be murder on the front of a car.

I would recommend against it. I had it on my RX8 and it looks like shit when it's dirty. After about 6 months of wear, even when it was clean it was very visible (cloudy) and looked ugly.

When I got in a small accident on the side of the car they had to remove the entire thing and REPAINT the whole front end and bumpers. It was very expensive. I would not do it again.

Just get a lot of car washes and wax often.

Pic is when the clear bra was a couple of months old, and was still very clean.

cost about $700 installed.

you get what you pay for and the quality plastic is better but aet08 is correct. They get dirty and in time tend to dull out, scratches and bug splatter mar the surface of the vinyl so you are better off with a good wax. That new poly liquid wax works real well from 3M or meguires (owned by 3M). On & off ez and shine is excellent so you can use it a lot.

Send a message via Yahoo to SummoneR
Google 3m PPF or Ventureshield and you will find all kinds of other forums too that talk about the pros and cons to each type of "Paint Protection Film"
