HUD - Turn Signals

Am I crazy? -

I could have sworn that in the HUD you can see the turn signals when you activate them - now I don't see them - did I turn something off, or was that something that is not in the HID display?

I really thought I saw them, or am I going nuts?

Nope, I’ve never seen them. But I sure would like to.

No turn signals on HUD. It’s dumb. I have to look into the wheel to see if the turn signals are on. My driving settings won’t let me see them.

X2 I leave them on when they shouldn't be at times because steering wheel blocks them with my seating position.

If you leave your turn signal on for an extended period of time it will tell you on the HUD. So that might be what you are thinking of.

They figured it wouldn’t be necessary to show them in the HUD, if they configured an obnoxiously loud clicking noise to remind you that you’ll be turning soon. *laughs*

All they needed to do was program them into to HUD. They have other useless crap on there already.

They should've made the HUD and the DIC more configurable, but I guess programmers' time is expensive.

The nav view in the DIC, for example, is pathetically lame, a stamp-sized map in the middle of the screen, surrounded by window chrome... how much better it would be to allow overlays and/or underlays and have it stretch to fill the screen behind the digital cluster view.

Similarly, they could easily have built some settings for the HUD to configure each view, turn signal, tach, speedo, view rotation to eliminate the crookedness that 90+% of people see. Heck, all settings could be part of the phone app that does the remote commands so people would not have to tinker with the infotainment screen for minutes while idling the car just to make a few changes. It could easily send encrypted settings data packets that the HMI would then decode. And this is just off the top of my head, easy stuff I could implement in a few days... clearly they either lack resources, willingness or both.
