Well I bought this 2016 1SS M6 back in June. Never thought to look under the rear end until today. I was washing and detailing the car and had just finished cleaning up the exhaust tips. Thought hey why not take a look since several people tell me that it has a nice exhaust note. One guy even said there's no way its the stock exhaust. Well lo and behold this is what I found after poking my head under the back.

It appears to me that the previous owner did a secondary cat delete but used the stock exhaust tips:

But looking at the cats it could be a cat back exhaust:

Sorry about the bad angles on the pics. I was laying on the ground.

So not sure who made it or if its custom but nice to have. If the dealer i bought it from had known it may not have been sold as a Certified Pre-Owned, lucky me .

Unless I am not seeing straight - I's say you have more than a secondary cat delete as I see no muffler either. It looks to be straight piped from the primary cats back. So, indeed this is not a stock exhaust.

Secondary cat delete, crush pipe replaced at rear end, and muffler delete. Still stock mid-pipe with the previously mentioned pieces welded in by an exhaust shop most likely. Sounds good, definitely much louder than stock.

Wise, are the wheels on car in sig black or really dark grey. Looks killer!

I would like a resonator to tone down the raspiness... but that is NOT stock.
