Need some advice on rear wheel rim width

I've got the OEM 20 inch set of Gloss Black rims with the red band on Goodyear run-flats on my 2016 Camaro. With almost 18K of miles, the tires are beginning to wear thin. I'm hoping to squeeze another 1,500 out of them. But I've stared to look around for pricing on replacement tires. I was surprise to learn that the tires are about $1,300 for the set of four and that's just for the rubber, doesn't include mounting, balancing, etc.. $2,000 if you upgrade to a better version of the tire. Obviously, I find that cost to be exceptional high. I figure this could be an opportunity to replace the entire set of rims and tires with a wider set using traditional tires.
I've seen others post that you can fit 285/30 in the Front and 305/30 in the rear without any issue of rubbing.
I really like the look of the MRR 228 Z28 style replica tires. But I'm confused on whether I should get 10in or 11inc for the rear. I believe that the front 285/30 would be fine with 9 inch rims but I see that both the 10 and 11 inch rim work with the 305/30 tires. So what's the difference? Is there some advantage on getting 11 inch rims on the rear?
Would appreciate any input..
thanks

11" rear 305/30/20
10" front 285/30/20
Same as a 1LE
The ride from this set-up is way better or it is for me.
I went with the Nitto NT555 G2's & M017's(lighter & stronger wheel)

I do believe my stock 1LE rims are 10" front and 11" rear. That is with 285/30 and 305/30.

NM, you beat me to it.

Have you priced those Tires? I don't think you will save any more, the OE Goodyears might be a little cheaper, but with probably 1/2 the tread life.

How's traction in wet weather with those 305's? (Reason for asking is simply because I'm researching options for the time the OEM Goodyears wear out. Thanks.)

I do not drive much in the rain, but the guys at Phastek like them on there cars.
That is why went with them. They have good water channels on the Nittos.
I gave $1,425.00 for the set with full tire replacement warranty, tax, etc. out the door.

Nice choice. Did you need to use any spacers?

On TireRack, $1,139 for the standard OEM tire, $1,871 for a higher performance version. That's just the standard size tires using my existing rims. I know I'll pay more for a new set of rims and tires, but I would not take the run-flat route and it doesn't look like the cost will be significantly higher. Happy to pay another $1K if I can get a more aggressive look, like the 1LE/ZL1.

I did tire rack NOS you have to call them if their not on line. Total cost 700 ish shipped. Tire rack sent me a good year rebate with a copy of my sales slip which net me another 100 off. So 600 for all four, then discount mounted for $160. So all in 760 hard to beat that

You have some good options for a 285/305 30 aspect ratio tire by the way

Nitto NT555G2
Goodyear Eagl1 F1 SuperCar G3 (OEM tires)
Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Continental Extreme Contact Sport

Preferred sizes

20x10 ET 23
20x11 ET 43

I have done 20x10/12 sizing as well on custom wheels.

Thank you all for your comments and recommendations. Very helpful. Decided to go with the MMR M017 route with the Nitto NT555 G2. I didn't realize that these were the same rims Matt from Lethal Camaro put on his car a while back. Had a look at the video and was impressed with the look. Looking forward to getting them installed.

Just ordered 1500 worth of Michelin pilot sport 4 S tires all around i have the 305-30 in the rear and 245-40 for the front. I will let you know how they perform in wet/dry,m etc. I had the TOYO proxies R888R and they were super sticky for about 2500 miles then they started to fall way off. They are by FAR the loudest tire i have ever had on any type vehicle...I would not recommend them to anyone unless you are at a road corse and you want to burn up a set of new soft tires.

Tires & Rims came in!! Kudos to the folks over at Element Wheels in AZ. They did a nice job with the the whole package. Tires came in via crate, simple plug and play. I've been driving the TOYO NT-555 G2 for about two weeks now in wet and dry conditions here in So. Fla. I have not noticed any ride issues or excessive noise compared to the old OEM Goodyear eagles. It's a good thing I changed them now, I did not realize how badly worn my tires were until I swapped them out. Loving the rear 305/30 on the 11 inch rims. Very aggressive stance. Added pics below.. cmf
